Emily Restemayer and Kelsey Aylor

Welcome to Kindergarten!

I am Emily Restemayer and this is my 16th year teaching in Etiwanda. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. I got my BA at Cal Poly Pomona and my credential and Masters at Azusa Pacific University. I job share with my sister Mrs. Aylor. We will both be your child's teacher this year. Mrs. Aylor will teach on Mondays and Tuesdays. I will teach on Wednesdays and Thursdays. We will alternate teaching every other Friday. Make sure when you are communicating with us, you include us both so we can all stay on the same page. I am so excited to meet your child and spend the year together learning and having fun!

Important Dates

School

August 5th: Kindergarten Orientation from 9:00-10:00 am

August 8th: First Day of School (Our day begins at 8:05 am. Students can begin lining up at 7:50. We will open our door each day at 7:50) Our day ends at 11:25 pm. We will dismiss by the cafeteria at the bottom of the campus.

Welcome to Our Class!

We can't wait to meet you! This year is going to be so great! You can use your own backpack this year (Grizzly Bags are available if you would like that instead). If you are interested in donating supplies, here is a list of some suggested supplies ( We will have supplies ready to go for your child on the first day of school. These will be used to resupply as needed):

  • 24 count crayons

  • glue sticks

  • tissues

  • baggies (variety of sizes)

  • play doh

  • EXPO white board markers

  • Astro Bright copy paper and cardstock

Homework Assignments

Please see your child's purple folder for the weekly Homework packet and newsletter that explains what to do each night. Homework packets are sent home every Friday and returned the following Friday. If you need a replacement packet, one can be provided for you if it is lost. Email or text us on Remind.
