This week we celebrate our school administrators. We are grateful for all the hard work, dedication, and enthusiasm our school administrators put into their schools every single day. They do so much to help our students succeed, and it doesn't go unnoticed! Show your appreciation in any way you can—a handwritten note, their favorite snack, even just a "thank you"—and let them know you recognize their effort!

Join us for Star Wars Reads Day on Saturday, October 14, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. This fun filled day organized by the Etiwanda School District libraries will take place at the Barnes & Noble in Rancho Cucamonga. Activities are free and will include puzzles, crafts, story time, the Star Wars Amazing Race, a costume contest, a Lego building contest and more! The 501st will also be visiting participants during our event! We will have drawings for prizes. A portion of purchases made during this event benefit the school libraries in the Etiwanda School District. For more details visit the Events Area on the district website.

Mrs. Bannes, Grapeland Elementary' s amazing cafeteria manager, stays busy feeding their students' bellies and filling their hearts with kindness. Her sweet nature and inviting atmosphere make their students’ experiences enjoyable. We are certain the Grapeland Grizzlies truly appreciate her kind ways and efforts!

Happy IT Professionals Day! Today, we want to take a moment to recognize and thank the amazing IT professionals who work tirelessly to keep our district connected. Thank you for your dedication and hard work in the background to keep technology running.

Tuesday, September 19, 2023, is our next Author Night at Barnes & Noble, Rancho Cucamonga. Enjoy a night of dog-gone fun with games, puzzles, crafts, prizes, and more! For more information about this event or to preorder your copy of "Dogtown," visit the event area of our district website. 

Don't miss out on a single day of school! Attendance is key to success, so make sure you don't let any potential opportunities slip away.

Don't forget that Monday, September 11, 2023, is a non-student day.

Our exciting author event is almost here! On Friday, September 8th, author Melissa de la Cruz will be present at our Escape Room Author Night at Barnes & Noble in Rancho Cucamonga from 5:30 p.m.–7:30 p.m. This fun-filled event supports our school libraries, and there will be activity stations, puzzles, and drawings. Attendees can earn an opportunity to meet Melissa de la Cruz for an autograph by purchasing her newest book, The Super Secret Octagon Valley Society. A percentage of in-store sales from this event will benefit our school libraries. 

In observance of Labor Day, the district office and all school sites will be closed today.

Mr. Beitler and Mrs. Styles from Grapeland Elementary are getting a high five today from the Smith family. They appreciate how warm and welcoming both of them are by always greeting the students with smiles and, for many, on a first-name basis. They love the dedication and respect they have for each individual student. Grapeland is lucky to have them!
